December 2011 The Farndon Unit to facilitate 'My Perfect Move Out of Secure Services' forums

The Farndon Unit are pleased to be one of three national groups to facilitate 'My Perfect Move Out of Secure Services' forums.  The forums will look at what women want secure services to deliver prior to discharge and what services would be available after discharge in an 'ideal or perfect' world.  Discussions from the groups will be fed back into a national piece of work being undertaken by East of England and will be part of the 'Securing My Future' of the Share Pathway scheme.

Louise Bannister, Clinical Team Manager at The Farndon Unit says “We are pleased that women from The Farndon Unit can be part of a national piece of work which will help shape secure services. The Farndon Unit has embraced Service User Involvement which is about making sure the voices of the people who use the services have the opportunity to voice their opinions about the services they receive and the chance to make real, sustainable change to those services, these forums will be a prime example of how patients are getting involved.”
